Precast Factory Demolition

Equipment/Machines used:
Crawler cranes, Wire saws, Coring machines, Manlifts, Scissors lifts, Mobile cranes, forklifts, excavators, and telehandlers

Scope of work:
The scope of work was to decommission, dismantle/demolish, and hand over/dispose of items as required by the client and return the site to its previous condition prior to the construction of the precast factory. The facility consisted of 3 steel/concrete structured areas each approximately 30m wide x 90m long x 15m high with steel framed roofs and concrete columns, beams, and slabs.

How the work was executed:
JMCI used a combination of Crawler cranes and Manlifts/Scissors lifts to dismantle the roof structure and gantry cranes to safely lift them in sections to the ground. When on the ground the sections were separated into various forms of scrap material and segregated as instructed by the client. Non useful waste was removed off-site to government-approved facilities.

The concrete columns cut using wire saws, lifting points were provided and crawler cranes used to place them on the ground. Once on the ground, the concrete sections along with the concrete slab/foundations were demolished with excavators. The waste concrete was then piled up and removed off-site using dump trucks

The area was completely scrubbed, backfilled, compacted, levelled and handover to the client.
