HIA Building Dismantling

Equipment/Machines used:
Mobile cranes, Manlifts, Scissors lifts, Excavators, Trucks, loading shovels

Scope of work:
JMCI was tasked with completely dismantling a steel-structured building and handing over the various elements in reusable condition this included decommissioning, removal, and handover of all MEP-related items.

How the work was executed:
Once the MEP services were carefully disconnected and removed. The building was taken apart in a systematic manner starting with striping out the interior, followed by the roof and façade panels. These elements were removed using a combination of man lifts and mobile cranes. The materials that were designated for handover had to be carefully packed to avoid damage.

The steel structure was removed in sections of approximately 8 tonnes as laid out in the lifting plan by using mobile cranes and the sections were safely placed on the ground.

Excavators demolished the concrete slab and foundations.
