How the work was executed:
The work involved dismantling and handing over the façade panel to the client for reuse, cutting and lifting the steel façade support frame and demolition of the concrete slabs and walls.
The façade panels were removed using man lifts to assist with the unbolting and a mobile crane to lift them to the ground.
The façade support frame was supported with bracing straps and held by a mobile crane. It was cut free using gas torches and lifted to the ground in 3 sections.
The concrete slabs, walls and beams were demolished using a combination of long-armed excavators with a crushing Jaw for the higher parts and standard excavators with jackhammers for the lower parts and foundations.
